Bursa big waterfall tour - Private
One of the economically developed cities of Turkey, Bursa is also important natural and historical richness. In Bursa, most organizations for the period of the Ottoman Empire is the reason for the presence of historical monuments, Bursa is the first capital of the Ottoman Empire.
Included in the tour is a visit to the Crying Tree close to Golyazi; dating back more than 700 years it is possible to take refreshment under the shade of this ancient plane tree and watch the storks which migrate here during the Spring and early Summer months. The village of Golyazi was founded by the ancient Greeks and lies on a small peninsula on the fresh water Lake Uluabat and while here there is time to explore this beautiful area before moving on to Suuctu Waterfall, which is the highest in the area, reaching 30m in height.
A lunch stop is given in Kemalpasa which is famous for its’ round, sweet cakes soaked in syrup and these can be tasted while having lunch. Located approximately 80Km south west of the city of Bursa, this historical town dates back to the Hittite period with a presence through Roman, Byzantine and Selcuk periods. Liberated during Turkey’s War of Independence in 1920, the town was renamed after the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
The tour ends with visit to a bird sanctuary which has more than 50 species of birds and is located near Lake Uluabat.
