Opened in 1906, Shinjuku Gyoen is a Japanese garden created for the Imperial Family. When spring comes, 65 varieties of cherry trees bloom proudly throughout a long period. Those who missed the cherry trees' peak blooming times can still enjoy cherry blossom viewing here. Please note that alcoholic beverages, intoxication, and using play equipment are prohibited at Shinjuku Gyoen. Visitors' handbags may be inspected, so please be forewarned. Travel from Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station to Ueno Station (30 min) This tour uses public transportation to Shinjuku Gyoen, Ueno Park and Asakusa. Please note that seating is not guaranteed.
Ueno Park
Tokyo's only cherry blossom viewing spot that has been in existence since the Edo Period, this park features many cherry trees and remains a favourite spot to this day. A guide will accompany the tour in the park. Enjoy eating sakura mochi, a cherry blossom season specialty, while admiring the blossoms. A sakura mochi snack will be provided on the day of the tour, but if they are not available a different food may be provided instead.
From Ueno Station to Asakusa Station Take the train to Asakusa Station.
Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa
An important sightseeing spot in Asakusa where visitors can feel the traditional atmosphere of Japan. Nakamise-dori street is lined with cherry trees, becoming a much-loved cherry blossom viewing spot with Senso-ji Temple in the background.
Sumida River Nighttime Cherry Blossom Cruise Departure
On this limited-time cruise, enjoy the illuminated night-time cherry blossoms set against a beautifully lit-up Tokyo Skytree® in the background and other captivating sights. A light bento box meal (Japanese cuisine) made specially for night-time cherry-blossom-viewing boat rides will be served. Select 1 drink from non-alcoholic beverages, beer, or canned chuhai (shochu highball).
Tour Ends After disembarking, please head to your next destination on your own. It takes about 1 minute on foot to Asakusa Station.

Sumida River Night-time Cherry Blossom Cruise: *Vegetarian options are not available for the light bento box meal (Japanese cuisine) served on board the cruise. Also, minors (those under the age of 20) are not permitted to drink alcohol under the Japanese law. Minors and those who prefer not to consume alcohol will be served a non-alcoholic drink.
The tour will still be held even in the case of rain, but in case of heavy rain or storm, the Sumida River cruise may be cancelled. In this case, JPY 2,800 per adult and JPY 2,000 per child will be refunded.
