Trekking Lanzarote
Get to know with a team of professional nature guide the natural protected areas of Lanzarote by carrying out some guide walks. They will take you to areas out of the massive tourism.
Route 1: Walking on the moonscape of Lanzarote - Discover the amazing world of volcanoes when you walk across solidified lavaflows, craters, lava tunnels, etc... in the heart of the eruption that took place in 1.730. The lenght is 6 km. Low degree of difficulty.
Route 2 : Haria - Famara beach. Trekking in Famara Nature Park - On this route it is posible to discover the flora and enjoy with fantastic views because it's the area of Lanzarote with more biodiversity. The walk starts in Haria, known as the Valley of the Thousand palms, as ascending to the highest point of the island we have a picnic, also from this place it is posible observe the little Archipielago Chinijo and the impressive Famara cliffs.
La Geria: This route is through one of the most singular growing areas of the world. During the course of this walk we will discover how the farmer has managed to overcome the catastrophe of the SXVIII century eruptions, with much effort and sacrifice, living an interesting and unique agricultural landscape. 9 km.
La Graciosa: La Graciosa and the North Islands are situated in the most important Marine Reserve in Europe, an island that until today has managed to preserve “the taste of the old”. A small island that permits us to enjoy stunning panoramic views of Lanzarote and the rest of the Archipiélago Chinijo. 14/19 km.
Meeting/ Pick up point: For walking on the moonscape: hotel pick up, from Playa Blanca 8:45am, Costa Teguise 9am, Puerto del Carmen 9.30am and Puerto Calero 9.45am.
For north route la Corona: hotel pick up, from Puerto Calero 8.20am, Puerto del Carmen 8.30am and Costa Teguise 9am, no collected from Playa Blanca.
Duration: For walking on the moonscape: three hours, with transfers included aprox. five hours.
For north route la Corona: aprox. four hours and a half, with transfers included aprox. six hours and a half.
