Zakynthos Mountains and Sea - Private Tour
Explore Zakynthos by bus and boat combining the splendour of the mountains with the serenity of the sea. The tour starts with the pick up from a pre-arranged location at approximately 10am and then sets off to the northern most point of the island to Skinari from where the boat trip begins. The boat will sail to Smugglers Cove, where the wreck of the ship "Panayotis" can be seen and there will be the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters.
After you will head to the famous Blue Caves discovered in 1897. The name comes from the colour of the water in this area of the sea. On returning to the port, the bus will then continue further into the mountains for the next stop at the Olive Factory in Agios Leondas, to find out how olive oil is produced and to sample both the olives and the mountain virgin olive oil served on homemade bread. This will be followed by a walk around the pretty mountain village of Agios Leondas, whose history dates back many centuries. It is now time to head further south to explore the Damaniou Caves in the village of Agala. One striking feature of these caves is that there are two entrances, one above the other. It will now be time to sit and relax for an a la carte lunch at the restaurant which is located directly above the caves. Experience amazing food whilst gazing out over the unforgettable views of the sea and the mountains.
